Opening Policy Statement
1. Second Paragraph. Proposed change to the following sentence: No employee or student is to report to work, class or any University activity while under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol. Change is to read: No employee or student is to report to work or class while under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol. No employee or student may attend a University activity under visibly impaired by alcohol or under the influence of illegal drugs. (Joshua Paul Edmundson)
A. Campus Alcoholic Beverages Policy
1. Section 4. a. - Add information: form required may be obtained from the Office of Student Activities (Dr. William Faulkner)
B. Student Organizations
1. Section 4.b.1.a-d Request was made to check to see if the Director of Business Services oversees the beer and wine license for these listed areas.
C. Health Risks Associated with the Use of Illicit Drugs and the Abuse of Alcohol
1. Request was made to update all information in this section to reflect current research. (Joshua Paul Edmundson)
2. Request was made to change the word marijuana into cannabis (Joshua Paul Edmundson).
3. Insert the statement "This information was inserted in order to comply with the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act" at beginning of section C. (Bryan Reese)
D. Applicable Legal Sanctions Under Federal, State and Local Law for the Unlawful Possession or Distribution of Illicit Drugs and Alcohol.
