III. Review the Following Sections of the Golden Rule:
Note: The new version of the Golden Rule 2002-2003 was used in reviewing this section. It is Section 15 - Student Activities and Organizations
A. Student Organization Guidelines
1. Section 1. Cite source for research that "clearly shows that those students who choose to become involved…" (Reese)
B. General Principles of Group Responsibility
1. Section 4. Change words "An incident of misconduct occurs on premises" to "A violation occurs on premises." (Reese)
C. Registration of Student Organizations
1. Section 1. Add sentence to end of paragraph "The Office of Student Activities will have copies of the Golden Rule available for student organizations when they submit their registration and officer update reports." (Reese)
E. Funds and Expenditures
1. Add sentence: "Student organizations receiving funds must comply with Office of Finance and Accounting Guidelines." (Reese)
G. Student Eligibility for Leadership Positions
1. Request was made to include information about the composition of the Eligibility Appeals Board. (Reese)
I. Conduct Regulations for Student Organizations
1. Section 8. Delete "Failure to insure that all organization bills are paid." (Reese)
2. Section 9. Delete "Failure to properly register student events." (Reese)
3. Section 13,g. Change "Outdoor events… must cease by 11:00 p.m." to "must cease by the time determined by the governing agency." (Reese)
4. Section 15. Delete "The phrase "UCF" or "University of Central Florida" (or some form thereof) cannot precede the title of the organization." (Reese)
