    I. Introduction/Sign In
Kelly Imbert welcomed everyone and reviewed the agenda

There will be a second public hearing on The Golden Rule either December 18 or 19 - it has not been decided.  The General Counsel's office will set the date and location.  Once that is set, it will be advertised.

The final rules, and final Golden Rule, should then be in effect on January 7, 2003.

II. Review the Following Sections of the Golden Rule:

      A. Student Rights and Responsibilities
        1. p. 5 under Student Rights, #4, it was questioned where "restraints" were defined/outlined.  Refer to the Event Management section, "Free Assembly"
        2. p. 6, Personal Health Responsibilities - 1st paragraph, 2nd line - consider rewording "A drugged or mistreated body…" (replacing drugged and mistreated with different language).
      B. Rules of Conduct
        1.  No changes suggested
      C. Student Conduct Review Process
        1. pg. 13, "Student Hearing Panel" section;  It was suggested to change the composition of hearing panels to three students and two Faculty/Staff (Wesley Hotchkiss)
        2. pg. 14, "Student Government Judicial Council" section will remain, with language clarifying that it does not fall under the supervision of the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities.
        3. Under the new proposed changes to the current (2000-2001) Golden Rule, it was suggested to make the composition of the Organizational Hearing panels three students and two Faculty/Staff (Wesley Hotchkiss)
        4. pg. 13, "Student Conduct Board"; it was suggested that the selection of he Conduct Board be done by the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and not the Vice President of Student Development and Enrollment Services as that person is the final person in the Appeals Process. (Kevin Peters)
